The Vismarkt lies in the foot of the Korenbeurs (Corn Market).
On Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, the Vismarkt is transformed into a Fresh Square, a huge market of fresh produce. There is a large choice of vegetables, fruit, fresh fish, cheese, meat and many other fresh goods. >From eight o’clock in the morning you can marvel at the delicious goods on display at the many market stalls: vegetables, fresh fruit and fish fresh from the different auctions. No pre-packed goods: you can choose what and how much you want to buy. Taste it first if you like. And enjoy a good joke with one of the merchants. The market is always a fun place to shop!
There are also many flower and plant stalls at the Vismarkt. Straight from the auction as well, so it doesn’t get any fresher than this!
On Wednesday the market stalls are only on the sidewalks of the Vismarkt. This small and elongated market offers a wide variety of goods. You can saunter along the comfortably wide pedestrian area in between the stalls and the shops.
